Advantages & Disadvantages of 5G.

Advantage

5G technology promises to change our lives by connecting everything around us to a network that is 100 times faster than existing cellular connections and 10 times faster than the fastest home broadband service.

Increased speed in combination with responsiveness and reach can unlock full capabilities of future technologies like self-driving cars, virtual reality and the internet of things.

“We are absolutely convinced that 5G is the next revolution”

-Tim Baxter, President of Samsung US

Newly developed Technology could use a VR headset and special glove, fitted with haptic feedback, to control a robot arm that would perform an actual operation in another location giving the surgeon the sensation of actually being there. This, of course, could save many lives in complicated procedures.

Without the real-time 5G connection, the whole setup would be impossible. 5G will open new doors for smart device technology in the future.

Disadvantage

5G technology works on a higher bandwidth, but less coverage per cell tower. More cell towers will be required to produce this immense bandwidth because the cells are not able to cover as much space as a 3G or 4G cell. Because more cells will need to be rolled out, 5G coverage may not be as widespread at first.

Risk

In 2007, a report titled the BioInitiative Report was published. Is based on over 1800 scientific studies and has been updated as late as 2019. It has been prepared by 29 authors from ten countries, ten holding medical degrees (MDs), 21 PhDs, and three MsC, MA or MPHs. These are highly respected scientists coming from some of the world’s most respected universities and institutes. The BioInitiative further warns … “that evidence for risks to health has substantially increased since 2007 from electromagnetic fields and wireless technologies (radio-frequency radiation).” Health topics include damage to DNA and genes, effects on memory, learning, behaviour, attention, sleep disruption, cancer and neurological diseases like Alzheimer’s disease. “New safety standards are urgently needed for protection against EMF and wireless exposures that now appear everywhere in daily life.”

Contrary, there is not a single scientific study, worldwide. as of today, that shows that long term exposure to 5G does not have a negative impact on human health.

What does it take?.

William Rea, MD Founder & Director of the Environmental Health Center, Dallas Past President, American Academy of Environmental Medicine.:

“Sensitivity to electromagnetic radiation is the emerging health problem of the 21st century. It is imperative health practitioners, governments, schools and parents learn more about it. The human health stakes are significant”.
